Ghorepani Poon Hill trekking is also popularly known as Annapurna Sunrise Trekking, or Annapurna Panorama Trekking. It is one of the most popular and relatively easy trekking routes in Nepal that is done through the beautiful ethnic villages of Annapurna Region.
Poon Hill Trek is best known for the majestic mountain views from Poon Hill where you can see beautiful panoramic view of Himalayas that includes Annapurna South (7219m), Annapurna I (8091m), Annapurna II (7939m), Annapurna III (7555m), and IV, Dhaulagiri (8167m), Lamjung Himal, Gangapurna, and Manaslu ranges among few others. Ghorepani Poon hill trekking is also famous for its beautiful rhododendron forests and its warm hospitality in the villages with the wonderful culture and lifestyle of ethnic people.
Ethnic people like Gurung and Magar are mostly found in this region. These group of people is known for their warm hospitality. Ghorepani and Ghandruk are two of the largest Gurung settlements in the Annapurna Region.
