This amazing trip starts from Kathmandu in the morning. After an hour drive, we will reach Dhulikhel and have breakfast. Dhulikhel is a beautiful town famous for the panoramic view of Himalayas. After breakfast, we will be leaving for Namobuddha. The well paved with few off-roads in between will take us there in an hour.
Namobuddha, a serene place well known for its Thrangu Tashi Yangtse monastery, is situated 40KM South-East of Kathmandu Valley by road. Founded in 1978, this monastery has now become home to more than 250 monks. Situated on a slightly elevated hill, in the summer the wind from the south brings cold breeze, so that scorching heat would not be a problem. In the winter, the clear sky with the warm sun will befriend you along with clear sight on the Himalayas. Flowers and green forests nearby make the place more elegant. In the morning, you can see smiling monks and their chanting all over the monastery that makes you feel the place to be off the world.
We will have our lunch at Namobuddha, then will proceed further with an easy/optional hike towards Panauti, another historical city full of temples. We will walk along the village covered with orange trees all over. During January and February, you will see the whole village in orange color. We can buy those oranges and proceed further with the hiking. After two hours of hike, our vehicle will be waiting for us at a village called, Sunthaan. We will be leaving for Kathmandu via Panauti town.
