Panchase Trek is ideal for travelers who want the chance to see breathtaking mountain views, but are also looking for a shorter, lower-elevation trek. The trek starts right from the southern end of the Phewa lake in Pokhara and takes you through friendly villages, lush protected forest, and to some beautiful vantage points where you can witness spectacular views of the Himalayan range, including two of the highest peaks in the world (Mt. Dhaulagiri, 7th highest and Annapurna I, 10th highest.).
The forests in the Panchase area are rich in biodiversity, and much of it is classified as a protected forest. It has an especially large number of orchid species, at over 100, so keep an eye out for the beautiful flowers. During the trek, you have the option of staying at a community homestay, local tea houses, and a relaxing hilltop lodge.
